Tours
No two people are alike – and nor are two tours! Our tours are designed to be interactive in nature, inviting visitors to be directly engaged in their museum experience.
Tours will be limited during our first months of operation but will become more frequent in the months to come. The Museum is committed to creating quality experiences and will conduct “pilot tour programs” during the first months. To schedule a tour, or for more information, please see the contact details at the bottom of this page.

School Tours
To provide the best possible touring experience to all school groups, MMAM will begin offering tours in the fall of 2006 to a small number of invited classes. These groups, along with educators and advisors, will help develop the Museum’s pilot touring program. Upon completion of the pilot program, tour experiences will be evaluated by staff, teachers and students. At that point, the Museum will open its touring program to all groups.
The MMAM offers school tours for preschool through university-level students. Rather than lecture, museum docents are trained to facilitate interactive learning experiences for all ages. The philosophy of the Museum staff is that tour experiences should tie directly with classroom goals whenever possible. To explore possibilities about curriculum connections, please see the contact details at the bottom of this page.

Self-Guided
The Museum features a variety of “self-guided” tour sheets in the atrium. Tours feature individual topics such as artistic technique, folklore, and touring with children.
In order to provide the best possible Museum and educational experience for all involved, the Museum staff asks that you schedule your self-guided group a minimum of two weeks in advance. This way staff can verify that no other docent-led tours are already scheduled to be in the galleries.
