Winter King rides forth in the warm glory of the Christmas season astride the reluctant donkey.  This timely figure evokes a long tradition in African tribal folk sculpture, namely that of a rider on horse or donkey, as a harbinger or messenger of things to come.

The friendly and humble demeanor of Winter King rings the bells of good cheer and waves a hearty noel.  Dressed against the winter chill, he will brighten the Yule time mantles of all who wish peace on earth and good will to all. Marilyn and I are very proud of this latest addition to our long line of folk santas.  Seasons greetings!
